It’s Gold Jerry! Gold!
posted on May 28th, 2010 - Filed in Uncategorized - No comments »Today Yukon Dan stopped by the show. Dan’s a real life prospector who’s been mining for gold for many years and who says that he could make a living doing it if he didn’t have a girlfriend. …It would seem she doesn’t approve of him going off to live in a bush.
Here’s a photo that Pay took of me with Yukon himself. They dressed me up like a miner, but I think I look a lot more like the neighbour from “Honey I Shrunk The Kids”.

Here’s Pay’s hand holding a nugget of gold, probably worth about $1000. I KID YOU NOT!

Who Says Slapstick Is Dead?

(Anyone who wears contacts will feel my pain of having whipped cream in my eyes.)
For the record, Jon’s a liar and no one helped me clean up. Though, in hind sight, I think I’m happier that Jon didn’t help me clean up. So how DO you clean a blazer covered in whipped cream…?

I leave you with what is supposedly the biggest pie fight in cinematic history. This scene from 1965’s “The Great Race” was filmed over many days and supposedly the smell of old sour pies got so bad that they had to bring huge fans in. I can only imagine, as I was pied at 8:20 and by 9:20 it was getting rank.

So you may have heard that I’m participating in the Easter Seals/SMD Foundation Drop Zone this August. All proceeds raised for the 2010 Drop Zone Event stay in Manitoba and go to support SMD’s Programs and services that reach over 40,000 Manitobans with disabilities per year. If you are able, please take the time to head over to my donation page HERE to sponsor me and find out a bit more about Drop Zone itself.
Thanks.
