Back to BT

It’s great to back on BT after a nice break in sunny Las Vegas ! You know the old saying,” I need a vacation from the vacation ? ” , well it really applies to spending any time in Vegas. If you’re going to visit that fun little city I highly recommend the buffet at Harrah’s as they have EVERYTHING you could imagine and it won’t break the bank (the blackjack table will ). We were lucky enough to catch Elton John’s last show at Caesar’s Palace , that guy blows the roof off  no matter where he performs! I managed to tip the waitress and Margaritaville $40.00 on a $60.00 bill, (I didn’t have my glasses and I thought it was an $80.00 bill…ooops). Another regular performer in Las Vegas is Andre Phillipe Gagnon and we were happy to have him on BT this morning as he is in town performing at McPhillips Street Station along with the over 100 voices in his head.  I’m very lucky to be in this business as sometimes I get to meet some great celebrities. If you could meet any celebrity who would it be? Let me know, I’d love to hear from you.

Winnipeg’s best chicken wings !

Today we had Chris Sawatsky on BT to give us vote for Winnipeg’s best chicken wings and he knows his stuff as he is the man behind winnipegwings.com. His pick, after extensive research, is Tony Roma’s on Pembina highway based on wing quality and atmosphere. I love my wings and I’ve enjoyed plenty here in Winnipeg and I don’t think I could pick one place, I like hot wings and lemon pepper wings…actually I like all types of wings ! Where is your pick for Winnipeg’s best wings ? Let us know here at BT , we would love to hear from you.

Spring is in the air !

Can it be that spring is actually showing it’s face after the long winter ? As usual I got wholloped by a spring cold keeping me on the couch over the weekend , small price to pay for the winter/spring trade off if you ask me . I look forward to getting out and starting spring clean up in the yard and getting the BBQ fired up for hopefully a long hot summer. What’s your favourite part of spring ? Is there anything dealing with spring that you would like to see on BT ? Drop a line and let us know !
